Think Water Darwin provided a specialised irrigation design solution for the Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility to help the Darwin City Council manage toxic leachate. Our team engineered a robust system concept featuring over 18 pumps and corrosion-resistant piping to effectively collect and repurpose hazardous wastewater for agricultural use.
The cornerstone of our design was a custom centre pivot irrigation system tailored for steep terrain and high winds. By incorporating automated sensors, the design ensured the precise dispersal of treated water to sustain Vetiver plants while maintaining strict environmental containment. This project highlights our ability to translate complex technical challenges into sustainable, high-performance water architecture.
